The goal: designing a Craigslist style website and building it on a powerful development tool that would do all the heavy lifting and require minimal administration. Drupal was the platform of choice, but the available modules did not match the task at hand.

Like the mad scientists we are, we created a Drupal mutation that cleans up after itself! The site expires listings after 45 days via a nightly cron job run by the webserver (techspeak alert).
